Nothing is new under the sun....

I have been working in illustrator a bit more... Loving the female body. Some people just dont appreciate the beauty of the human body, and looking at it as poetry is different than looking at it as some ex rated object. I think society has really given the female body a bad wrap. But it is such a beautiful creation, truly remarkably made and its perfection is beyond our understanding <3 I am so glad to have studied the figure so much in college because I think it really opened my eyes to a new way of seeing it :) just a side note that lillies represent purity

Vintage Eveningwear...

I have been making vintage earrings from buttons I find in my grandmothers collections. They have been coming out so wonderfully! <3 I love earrings, I love vintage, I love taking old things and making them new again <3 #vintage #beautiful #lovebuttons

Pink Summer Rosary Bracelet...

Pink square metal beads and pink round stones make up this sparkly rosary bracelet. A turtle at the end, i <3 the little turtle. I once looked up the meaning of the turtle and was surprised to find that it represents heaven and earth.

My Safe Place..

"My safe place" A work in progress. I love sleep. Its the only time I can escape from my mind for a while = peaceful slumbers are loveliest. Nothing can hurt me there. No decisions to make. No one expects anything of me there. Im drifting away....

It hurts

Done in illustrator. Based on an illustration I painted. Love it in this graphic version. I always had a hard time looking at Jesus battered and bruised on the cross. I guess this is my way of looking at it.

Broken Pieces

Drawing of the day. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you cant explain how you are feeling to someone else. You cant explain your reasoning, your logic, your thought process in a way that they can relate to. And even though it doesnt make sense to someone else, it makes perfect sense to you...and in the end you are your own best friend or worst enemy. Pen and ink, pink marker, and patterned paper. Enhanced in pixlromatic. <3

Betrayal Collage

This is a piece on betrayal in a relationship. The woman has large eyes to show her innocence. The mans arm is comming from behind her and holding both the sexy legs and the beautiful woman. Her face is turned so she cannot see what he his doing. Im not sure if she is ignoring it purposefully or if she doesnt know what is going on. He is not satisfied with this beautiful woman and feels he needs more than what he has. Thus the woman is betrayed. The eyes on his hand are mean/cruel eyes looking directly at the viewer as if to show his lack of shame in his behavior. The words are a play on the image. They mirror each character in the collage. I used magazine cutouts to collage this piece. Hope it can evoke an emotion in you somehow as it does for me <3
